OTTAWA — Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development inspectors have visited the site ofÌý²¹²ÔÌýOttawa construction fatality three times this week as they continue to investigateÌýtheÌýJan. 25 incident.ÌýÌý
Police, paramedics and ministry inspectors were called to a residential building site on Westar Farm Way operated by Grizzly Homes on Monday afternoon after a worker was struck when a wall collapsed. The worker, who subsequently died,Ìýwas employed by a subcontractor, Bacic Forming Concrete Ltd. Ìý
Two ministry inspectors visited the scene Jan. 25, with one order and one requirement issued to the constructor and one requirement issued to the subcontractor.Ìý
The next day, threeÌýinspectors andÌý²¹²ÔÌýengineer returned to the workplace to continue the investigation. Three orders and one requirement wereÌýissued to the constructor.ÌýÌý
On Jan.Ìý27, two inspectors returned to continue the investigationÌýwith eightÌýmoreÌýorders and two requirements issued to the constructor. One requirement was issued to the subcontractor. Ìý
