Before covid every tradesmen was pissed about low wages… how come wages didn’t explode when housing prices melted up? Now we have the pandemic and more inflation, but the offer 10% over 3 years is an embarrassment. All trades should demand 20% starting point . Too much? then raise the interest rates up to 10% overnight collapse the markets to make things cheaper all around. The Ont Conference of Sheet Metal Workers & Roofers representing 9 local unions across the province on May 17th overwhelming turned down the proposed tentative agreement for the Sheet Metal Workers and are back at the barganing table later in the week
The Roofers have a strike mandate and the two sides are at the barganing table
