Safety Week 2019 promotes being ‘safe by choice’

TORONTO — 鶹ýion firms across Canada and the U.S. took part in Safety Week 2019, which was held this year from May 6 to 10.

The week-long events, activities and demonstrations were intended to increase awareness of the need for improved workplace and jobsite safety. The 2019 campaign theme was Safe by Choice and the message was, “We are stronger and safer together.”

Walsh Canada kicked off the week with a Stretch and Flex at Ashbridges Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant in Toronto May 6. Walsh Canada also held an event at the Osler Health Etobicoke General Hospital site in Toronto May 9 to celebrate over one million person-hours with no lost-time injuries.
