This week digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with Amina Dibe, the manager of government and stakeholder relations for Residential Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇåion Council of Ontario (RESCON) about a roundtable spearheaded by the province’s construction associations to combat racism in the industry.
Dibe cited the recent incidents where nooses were placed on construction sites and illustrated practical ways in which participating organizations are raising awareness in the office and on jobsites about acceptable workplace behaviour. Â Dibe also spoke to ongoing efforts to diversify the construction workforce, especially given an ongoing labour shortage.
