The Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇåion Record Podcast – Episode 255: supply chains with CAPP’s Richard Wong

On this episode of The Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇåion Record Podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) vice president of regulatory and operations Richard Wong about a recent report prepared by iTotem Analytics about spending on British Columbia’s natural gas supply chain particularly as it involved Indigenous communities.

The report is the most recent and comprehensive CAPP members have participated in, Wong said and added spending went up significantly even accounting for economic declines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wong also said one of the reasons many smaller communities saw the most supply chain spending was their proximity to expansive resource areas but also development of shale and other resources in the mid-2000s led to a technological acceleration that also meant higher demand for specialized equipment and engineering services.
