Saskatchewan and federal governments put $13.6 million towards infrastructure
The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan have announced more than $13.6 million in investment to joint funding of 30 projects in the province. The federal government will put more than $6.7 million to the projects with Saskatchewan contributing more than $6.9 million. Projects will include replacement of rural bridges, water and wastewater system upgrades, decommissioning of landfills and recreation facility improvements.
Oracle introduces construction AI platform
Texas-based software firm Oracle recently announced Oracle 鶹ýion Intelligence Cloud Service, a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics applications for the engineering and construction industries. The new suite “uses machine learning to continually analyze project data managed in Oracle 鶹ýion and Engineering solutions to identify these potential risks and inefficiencies early, helping organizations make better decisions,” a release from Oracle stated.
CSC Toronto hosts Building Expo
鶹ýion Specifications Canada’s Toronto Chapter has announced details of its 2021 CSC Building Expo, scheduled for Feb. 24. This year’s theme is Technology in 鶹ýion with keynote speaker Jakob Stromann-Andersen set to discuss the Next Generation of Daylight Analysis.
