New Infrastructure Policy Council meets for the first time
Yesterday (June 1) marked the first meeting of the Infrastructure Policy Council, which aims to guide the continued policy and advocacy priorities of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and ensure the province makes the necessary investments to support economic recovery and long-term growth, explains a statement. Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇåion industry members include the Canada Infrastructure Bank, the Labourers’ International Union of North America, the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, the Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association, the Progressive Contractors Association of Canada and the Residential and Civil Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇåion Alliance of Ontario, to name some.
Feds to make COVID-19 infrastructure announcement in Nova Scotia
A virtual announcement regarding COVID-19 response infrastructure for Nova Scotia schools is slated to take place today (June 2) at 1 p.m. ADT. Those attending the announcement include Andy Fillmore, parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and Member of Parliament for Halifax, and Iain Rankin, premier of Nova Scotia.
Engineers Canada 30 by 30 conference kicks off
Today Engineers Canada is kicking off this year’s 30 by 30 virtual conference, which consists of a gathering for 30 by 30 Champions, engineering leaders and engineers, with a discussion of the current state of gender equity in the profession and what has been working to increase the number of women in engineering.
